On April 29th, the Florida Studio Theatre in Sarasota, FL hosted a staged reading of Two Point Oh as part of their new play series—a proving ground for works that they consider for full mainstage productions in the upcoming season. The production was a hit by any measure, with a near sold-out crowd offering overwhelmingly positive feedback after the show.

The reading was directed by FST resident artist Jason Cannon and featured a cast of veteran stage actors led by Stephen Hope as Elliot, Sarah Corey as Melanie, and Rita Rehn as Catherine Powell. Kudos and thanks to this talented team, who went far beyond the format of a typical staged reading to include sound effects, movement, props, and scenic elements all to fantastic effect.

FST is a wonderful theatre complex with multiple performance spaces and one of the largest subscriber bases in the nation. Fingers crossed that they choose Two Point Oh for a full production in their upcoming season, a decision that they will make by end of summer.
